Simple, Delicious Blueberry Pie
Summers are for baking pies, and this is a good one.
Ingredients
3/4 c white sugar (or slightly less - it comes out pretty sweet)
3 Tbsp cornstarch (maybe add 1 Tbsp more so it comes out thicker)
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
4 cups fresh blueberries
1 Tbsp butter
Box of 9” double crust pie (I used Pillsbury)
What To Do
Preheat oven to 375*
Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon and sprinkle over blueberries.
Line pie dish with one pie crust. Pour berry mixture into crust. Dot with butter.
Either lay 2nd pie crust on top of lattice the pie crust. I watched this video to learn how.
Mix 1 egg with 1 tsp water and brush on top of pie crust, sprinkle with sugar in the raw.
Bake on lower shelf of oven for about 50 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
