This makes about 2 cups worth. Could cut recipe in half.
Ingredients
2 cans sardines, drained
1 small onion finely diced
1 small carrot finely diced
2 celery stalks finely diced
1/2 cup loosely packed parsley roughly chopped
2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt
Few dashes hot sauce (I like Old Bay)
1/2 cup avocado mayo or regular mayo (recipe below)
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
What To Do
In a bowl break sardines into smaller pieces. Add onion, carrot, celery, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder and salt. Fold in mayo and vinegar and mix well. Store in fridge for up to 3 days.
Avocado Mayo
2 large egg yolks
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp brown mustard
1 tsp sea salt
1.5 cup avocado oil
What To Do
Place egg yolks, lemon juice, mustard, and salt in food processor and blend well. While machine is running, add avocado oil very slowly then add in a thin stream until fully incorporated. Store mayo in fridge for up to 1 week.
