Cantaloupe Margarita

The inspiration for this cocktail came from my love of putting salt on cantaloupe. Unlike most margaritas that are somewhat tart, the cantaloupe adds a touch of sweetness. It’s a beautiful little concoction that actually makes you feel healthy about drinking a margarita.

Ingredients

Cantaloupe, ½ - ¾ cup cubed

Tequila, 2 oz. (whatever your go-to brand is, I used Sauza Silver)

Triple Sec, ½-1 oz. (or Grand Marnier if you fancy)

Crushed Ice

Half lime or half lemon juice (both taste great)

Salt (for rim)

Fill your glass with crushed ice, add the rest of the ingredients then put all of them into a blender. Blend. Rub the half squeezed lime or lemon around the rim of your glass and dip into salt to coat. Pour in your favorite margarita glass and enjoy!
