Green Goddess Cocktail

Green Goddess Cocktail

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 ounces vodka

  • 1 teaspoon moringa powder - if you don’t have moringa powder you can use 1 bag or 1 tsp of green tea

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 2 cups dandelion greens or arugula

  • 1 cucumber, 1/3 grated and a few slices to garnish

  • 4 ounces fresh lemon juice

  • Thai basil or mint to garnish

What To Do

  • Combine vodka and moringa in a jar. Cover and let infuse 8 hours. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a small bowl; discard solids if using teabag. Keep in freezer until ready to use.

  • Bring sugar and ⅓ cup water to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat, add dandelion greens, and stir until wilted. Cover and let syrup steep 5 minutes, then strain into a small bowl; discard solids. Cover and chill dandelion syrup until cold, at least 1 hour.

  • For each cocktail, finely grate one-fourth of remaining cucumber directly into a cocktail shaker. Muddle to bring out some of the juice. Add 2 oz. moringa-infused vodka, 1 oz. dandelion syrup, and 1 oz. lemon juice to shaker. Fill with ice and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds. Strain cocktail into a Collins glass (or whatever fancy glass you have) filled with ice and garnish with basil or mint and 3 reserved cucumber slices.
