Cubes of Pureed Garlic to Cook With

image

My parents grow garlic; they grow so much of it they give it away in large quantities. When it comes to cooking, peeling garlic is my least favorite part. Since I always cook with at least a few cloves, I like it ready to use at my convenience. This is the perfect snowy day activity (or for a  day when you don’t plan on seeing anyone because you will wreak of garlic - unless that’s the kind of thing you’re into). Also a good alternative to that sketchy jar of garlic that’s stored in phosphoric acid that they sell in the store.

Ingredients

As many bulbs of garlic you have time to peel

Few dashes of olive oil

What To Do

Peel cloves of garlic. Pulse in food processor until finely diced but not pureed (if it gets a little pureed though it’s still ok). I used my Nutribullet and added a little olive oil. Scoop mixture into ice cube trays and freeze for several hours. Once frozen pop out and store in a ziplock bag. To use just grab a cube and let it melt in a ban with a little olive oil.
